HOW DO I RSVP?
Your formal invitation will include an RSVP enclosure card with a QR code. Simply scan the code using your phone’s camera to be directed to our wedding website. Once there, click the RSVP button on the homepage or navigate to the RSVP tab.
Enter your full name to begin. If you're responding for yourself and a guest (or your family), you’ll be able to RSVP for your entire group. If you select “accept,” you’ll then be prompted to choose meal preferences for the wedding reception.
When do I have to RSVP by?
We kindly request your RSVP for our welcome reception and wedding by July 27, 2025.
My invitation suggests the Hilton All-Inclusive Resort, but I no longer see it available for booking. What happened?
As of June 11th, 2025, the Hilton Playa del Carmen All-Inclusive Adults-Only Resort has been rebranded as the Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen All-Inclusive Adults-Only Resort. Our invitations were sent out before this recent rebranding took place. If you made a reservation prior to June 11th, rest assured—your booking remains unaffected and will be fully honored under the new resort name. If in doubt, call the Hyatt Vivid hotel directly at 001-52- 984-877-2900. Representatives can assist in both English and Spanish.
CAN I BRING A GUEST?
If your invitation indicates additional seats under your name, then yes! Otherwise we would love to keep this wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.
CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?
We kindly request that our celebration remains an adult-only event. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE WELCOME RECEPTION?
The dress code for the welcome reception is semi-formal. October evenings are usually warm with a light breeze, so we recommend breathable fabrics and tropical flair with a touch of polish. Think of it as elevated resort wear—comfortable, stylish, and ready for a night under the jungle canopy.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE WEDDING?
We recommend light, tropical colors or soft neutrals to complement the beach setting. Dress to celebrate—comfortably and stylishly!
For the ladies:
Think cocktail dresses, elegant maxi dresses, or chic jumpsuits in breathable fabrics. Opt for sand-friendly footwear like wedges, block heels, or embellished flats.
For the gentlemen:
Lightweight dress pants or chinos paired with a button-down shirt are perfect. A blazer is optional but welcome for a polished touch.
CAN I WEAR WHITE?
With a mixture of different cultures, it is understandable that white attire may be appropriate in some situations. However, please refrain from wearing white.
What kind of weather can I expect?
Playa del Carmen typically has warm, tropical weather. Temperatures can range from the mid-70s to mid-80s (°F). However, it’s wise to check the weather forecast closer to the date for any unexpected changes.
Where will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place?
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held on the Blue Venado Private Paradise Beach in the Paamul area, located about 25-30 minutes from downtown Playa del Carmen.
WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED TO GUEST TO THE WEDDING VENUE?
Yes, shuttle vans will pick up guests at 3:15 PM sharp from the main entrance of the Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen resort and transport them to the venue. Return transportation back to the Hyatt Vivid resort will be provided at the end of the reception.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! We’ll have an open bar at both the welcome party and the wedding day—featuring a selection of cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages for everyone to enjoy. Cheers!
What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?
Please let us know as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your dietary needs.
When traveling from the United States to Mexico will I need a visa?
If you’re a U.S. citizen traveling to Mexico for tourism, business, or transit purposes and staying for 180 days or less, you do not need a visa. However, you must have a valid passport and the "Forma Migratoria Multiple" (FMM) which is a tourist card that you can obtain online before your trip, on your flight, or at the port of entry.
What is the nearest airport to Playa del Carmen?
There are two airports less than an hour away from Playa del Carmen ("PDC"). Cancún International Airport (CUN) is approximately 34 miles north of PDC, and the drive typically takes around 45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Alternatively, Cozumel Airport (CZM) is located on an island about 10 miles away and visible from PDC. There are ferries that travel between PDC and CZM every hour from early morning to late evening. The ferry route takes about 45 minutes and drops you off directly in the heart of Playa del Carmen.
Do I need to worry about personal device-tax when flying into Mexico?
Cancun International Airport no longer taxes tourists for bringing multiple devices into Mexico. However, if you are flying through other international airports in Quintana Roo, including Cozumel, you should check with the respective airport to determine whether taxes apply for devices exceeding permissible quantities.
Do rideshares companies like Uber or Lyft operate in Playa del Carmen?
On-demand ride-share services like Uber are not currently available in Playa del Carmen. However, several private companies offer convenient alternatives through apps and instant messaging, making it easy to schedule a taxi at any time, day or night.
For more control over your rides—and to avoid fare haggling or surprises—we recommend downloading the Radio Taxi PDC app. It lets you calculate your fare in advance based on your pickup and drop-off locations. Once you request a ride, you'll receive a confirmation with the driver’s name and vehicle details.
